Twelve teachers from Lincolnshire County, UK were hosted by our district the last week of October. The teachers were accompanied by their Senior School Improvement Advisor, David Tingle, who noted that the goal of the trip to our board was twofold. Firstly to observe how teachers are narrowing the gap in student achievement and secondly, to share with our teachers and students what school teachers in England are doing. The UK teachers are finding lots of similarities in the criteria for success in both countries, especially in students' achievement in reading. |
