Assistive technology is any technology that helps students to increase, maintain, or improve a child's ability to learn and demonstrate their learning. Assistive technology programs allow students to have textbook information read to them from the computer, to dictate orally into the computer and have this information transformed into text, and use software tools for extensive organizing and editing assignments.
