Earth Week Water WalkImage result for water walk fundraiser

On April 28, our Social Justice Team will lead our students on a Water Walk. We will be walking and carrying water jugs as class teams. The purpose of this walk is to raise awareness of the importance of water to all human beings.  Below are some questions for you, your families and your classmates to discuss and think about.

  • Have you ever turned on the tap and water did not come out?

  • Have you ever went to take a shower and the water did not come out of the tap?

  • How clean is the water that you last drank?

  • How would you feel if your family had to use unclean water to cook dinner with?

  • How would you feel if you had to walk 2km for your water and it still wasn't safe to drink?  (From Precious Blood to McDonald's)

  • What would change in your life if you did not have access to clean water?

  • What can we do to help change the world for the better?

Why we walk:

Example of a Large Water Walk

Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.  Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."  John 4:14
