Week at a Glance June 18-22, 2018

Two Pitch Tournament

Our annual two-pitch tournament for Gr 5-8 students will take place Wednesday, June 20.  Jr Girls will play at PBS, all other teams will play at the Rec Centre.  Parents and family members are welcome to come out and cheer on our teams.  A schedule can be found HERE.

Last Day for Milk/Hot Lunch

A reminder that Monday, June 25 is the last day milk/pizza will be served at school for the year.

Thank You Volunteers!

We have so many generous volunteers in our school community who help in various ways: assisting on class trips; picking up our hot lunch orders; aiding in the classroom; running the healthy snack program; creating set pieces or costumes for our musical production; attending our CSAC meetings (parent council).  We are so grateful for the support, and hope you consider finding your way to further build your relationship with your child's school.  We benefit from your time, expertise, and patience.  Your child benefits from seeing that you value Precious Blood Catholic School, and their education.  We have an effective parent council here and are always looking for more support.  Please strongly consider coming out to Precious Blood Catholic School's first parent council meeting this September.  It is a great manner to meet incoming principal Mrs. Rhonda Regier, and help continue the strong tradition of support between home, school, and parish here at Precious Blood Catholic School.

Report Cards Going Home

Term Two report cards will be sent home Monday, June 25.  Please contact your child's teacher directly if you wish to schedule a meeting.

Please Return Your Library Books!

Thank you to everyone who has remembered to return their library books!  We are still missing 97 books.  Please return them as soon as possible, so Mrs. MacLay can put our library to bed for the summer.

South Huron Recreation Program

Please see the attached poster for information about South Huron's Recreation Program for children, starting July 3 at the Stephen Arena.  Open to children aged 4-12.

TD Summer Reading Program

This summer, kids are encouraged to escape their everyday, step outside their comfort zone, and discovery what they love through reading. This FREE club is for ages 4-12 and is held for one hour every week at each library branch in Huron County from July 3 to August 24. Whether it's outdoors, outrageous, or out of bounds, the unexplored is calling, and with the TD Summer Reading Club books, activities, and an unleashed imagination, kids can let go and have fun reading this summer. Contact your local library for more information.
