Special Education Advisory Committee

 

What is the Special Education Advisory Committee?

Every school district is required to have a Special Education Advisory Committee. This committee is an advisory committee to the Board of Trustees on matters pertaining to the Special Education programs and services. SEAC has certain responsibilities that have been outlined in provincial legislation, Regulation 464/97.

SEAC Members

The membership of the committee include representatives of local associations as defined in the regulation, members of the school board, and Native representation, and may include additional members who do not belong to any of these groups.
