Principal's Message

December 19, 2016
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I can’t believe that we are in the last week of school before the Christmas break! I want to thank you all for sharing your beautiful child(ren) with us here at OLMC! We are blessed by all the students and staff members and we are grateful for our collaborative partnership with parents, guardians, community members and the OLMC parish in nurturing our faith within this Catholic learning environment.

We would like to thank Mrs. Ennis for her dedication and passion for education as she transitions from teaching into motherhood. In the new year, we would like to welcome Mr. James Leckie to OLMC as the Gr. 7/8 teacher until the end of June, 2017.

Thank you to those who were able to join us to celebrate our Advent Mass last week. This week, we
continue to host many fun and interactive learning activities. We are grateful to our Catholic School Advisory Council, volunteers and community partners for organizing and preparing for our Christmas feast tomorrow. Please remember to wear red & green and pack-a-plate to share in this tradition of breaking bread together.

On Friday, we invite staff & students to wear their Christmas sweaters/gear as we create Christmas cards in our Lion Prides for special people in our lives. The Grade 6-8 students will participate in a Christmas dance that afternoon with loose change proceeds going to support the Gr. 7/8 trip to Camp Celtic.

As we prepare for Jesus’ birth, I wish you peace, joy, love and happiness as you spend time with family and friends during this holiday season! We will welcome back our little cubs on Monday, January 9, 2017!

God Bless, Lori Lynn Stapleton
