At our Catholic secondary schools, Chaplaincy Team Leaders provide essential pastoral care and spiritual support for both students and staff. This ministry ensures that faith remains a living, breathing part of the daily school experience.
The Role of Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy Team Leaders are dedicated to fostering a school environment rooted in Catholic teachings. They serve as a bridge between the school, the parish, and the home by:
- Leading Prayer & Liturgy: Coordinating school-wide prayer, liturgical celebrations, and seasonal observances.
- Managing Retreats: Overseeing the school’s retreat program to offer students time for spiritual growth and reflection.
- Promoting Social Justice: Fostering an awareness of global and local needs and encouraging students to respond with action.
- Providing Spiritual Guidance: Offering one-on-one direction and resource support for those seeking to deepen their faith.
Personal Support for Students
Beyond the classroom, the Chaplaincy Team Leader is a vital part of our student support network. They offer comfort and a listening ear for those experiencing:
- Grief or loss.
- Family transitions
- Personal challenges or crises
The School Chapel
Our chapels are the heart of the school. They are open to all students for quiet reflection and personal prayer. Regular liturgies and Masses are celebrated here, and students are encouraged to actively participate in these communal experiences.
